Dr Siân Waters, UK

Vice-chair of the IUCN Primate Specialist Group's Section on Human-Primate Interactions (SHPI); founder and director of a community conservation project in Morocco; honorary research fellow at the Department of Anthropology of Durham University UK.

I have been working with wildlife for over 30 years, specialising in primate conservation issues but also spent a few years managing a swift fox reintroduction programme on Blackfeet Tribal Lands. My current research focuses on the complex issues surrounding human-primate coexistence, and I am also interested in the human dimensions of rewilding particularly on marginalised communities and environmental justice issues.
